MISSION STATEMENT

Rock of Escape is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to strengthening Single-Parent homes broken by Divorce, Domestic violence, Child Abuse and Poverty. Our organization strives to build trust, respect, emotional, and physical security for the single-parent family. We promote loving and nurturing relationships within the single-family home by teaching the family to embrace change, by giving the family a sense of hope, and extending love. Rock of escape provides fundamental support to single parents seeking to enhance themselves spiritually, academically, and or financially through; support groups, financial counseling, mentor-ship and partnerships with educational institutions.

At Rock of Escape our youths are given the necessary tools to gain and maintain high self-esteem, ambition, love for thyself and thy fellow-man through mentor-ships and recreational outreach. Our youths will overcome adversity through rich academics and recreational activities taught by positive professionals and our single parents are enhanced with mental and financial support groups; thus mobilizing them to mend the broken Single-Parent home, break negative cycles, reinforce positive change to bring healing and restoration to the mind body and spirit.

Our Programs

Group Counseling Sessions

Certified counselors will be available to discuss traumatizing events with children as well as parents. Divorce can trigger depression, mental and financial struggles. Through counseling and support; individuals who have gone through divorce, domestic violence, abuse, and poverty; strength and understanding of their situation is built. Through support group’s parents and children can channel their feelings and thoughts about their situation and seek professional help. Child abuse leaves a child feeling alone and unwanted. At Rock of Escape our counselors are equipped with the necessary training to aide in the mental stability of children and parents exposed to these types of trauma.

We have men and women that are positive role models in our organization who are ready and willing to be your son or daughters guide in life. They will put in the work to help a child navigate through life's challenges as well as give them the tools to navigate these challenges on their own.

Omega Psi Phi Is a Fraternity that originated in 1911 in Howard University located in Washington D.C. from the initials of the Greek phrase meaning, "friendship is essential to the soul," the name Omega Psi Phi was derived. That phrase was selected as the motto Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. Today, Omega Psi Phi now has over 700 chapters throughout the United States, Bermuda, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Korea, Japan, Liberia, Germany, and Kuwait. There are many notable Omega Men recognized as leaders in the arts, the sciences, academics, athletics, business, civil rights, education, government, and science sectors at the local, national and international level. As a mandate of being apart of such a prestigious Fraternity they are mandated to provide mentor-ship to youth in and around their neighborhood. This Fraternity will provide countless mentoring for the male youth at Rock of Escape. Turning them into respectful, responsible, and productive men.

Poverty experiences dampen spirits and Northwestern Mutual helps to restore financial security.
